  The Dumbbell Nebula (M27, NGC 6853 or Diabolo) is a planetary nebula in the Vulpecula constellation, at a distance of about 1360ly (light years). Its central region is marked by a pattern of dark and bright cusped knots and their associated dark tails. The central star, is the largest known white dwarf star.
