Messier 13 (NGC6205) is a globular cluster
in the Hercules constellation and about 25.000 light years away from earth. Globular clusters are spherical collections
of stars that orbit a galactic core as satellites. M13 is composed of serveral hundred thousand stars.
The spiral galaxy in the lower right corner of this image is NGC6207. |
